Ingredients

  • butter : 270 g
  • dates : 50 g
  • sugar : 470 g
  • egg : 4 piece
  • vanilla essence : 5 tsp
  • flour : 200 g
  • baking powder : 2 tsp
  • water : 500 ml
  • salt : 1 pinch
  • cream : 300 ml

Stages of cooking

  1. Chop the dates into equal small pieces.

  2. Take a deep pot, pour water in it and add chopped dates. Boil the water on medium fire and wait until the dates become softer.

  3. While the water is boiling, mix 120 g of butter and 320 g of sugar in a separate bowl.

  4. Blend the ingredients well, add 4 eggs and sifted flour.

  5. Mix the ingredients well once again.

  6. Take the dates off the heat. Add 2 teaspoons of baking powder into hot water and stir the ingredients well.

  7. Now, mix all the ingredients you have prepared in one bowl and hand mix them to get a smooth mass.

  8. Take a baking pan, butter it and pour the batter inside.

  9. Bake at 190 C (374 F) for about 25-30 minutes.

  10. Now that the pudding is ready, it is high time to cook Toffee Sauce!  Add 150 g of sugar and 150 g of butter to the frying pan and heat the ingredients on small fire, while stirring them.

  11. Add the cream and wait until the sauce starts boiling. Simmer it a bit and keep stirring until it is ready. Pour the toffee sauce over the pudding, add cream on the top and serve!  Bon appétit!
