Freezer apple pie filling. With this recipe, you can treat your family with pies year-round.

Ingredients

  • apples: 18 cups (thinly sliced)
  • lemon juice: 3 Tbsp
  • water: 10 cups
  • ½ cups white sugar: 4 piece
  • cornstarch: 1 cup
  • ground cinnamon: 2 tsp
  • salt: 1 tsp
  • ground nutmeg: 0.25 tsp

  2. Pour water into a Dutch oven over medium heat. Combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg in a bowl; add to water, stir well, and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, constantly stirring. Dotdash Meredith Food Studios
