Ingredients
- apples: 18 cups (thinly sliced)
- lemon juice: 3 Tbsp
- water: 10 cups
- ½ cups white sugar: 4 piece
- cornstarch: 1 cup
- ground cinnamon: 2 tsp
- salt: 1 tsp
- ground nutmeg: 0.25 tsp

Pour water into a Dutch oven over medium heat. Combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg in a bowl; add to water, stir well, and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, constantly stirring. Dotdash Meredith Food Studios
