Baked beans are cooked in a slow cooker. This vegetable dish is very tasty and healthy. It is a nice choice for everyone, who takes care of good health. Do you want to learn how to cook it? Then follow the recipe and may your cooking effort be a success!
clloPrior to cooking the dish, pre-soak beans in water to make them softer while cooking. To do that, put the beans into a large pot, pour water and soak overnight. Then drain and start cooking.
Take another pot and mix molasses, brown sugar, ground cloves, mustard and 3 cups of hot water in it.
Add these ingredients into the pot of your slow cooker. Make the layers. The lower layer should be the salt pork (half of it) followed by the drained beans (half of the portion), chopped onion, the rest of the beans and salt pork. Pour the molasses water mixture to cover the beans.
Cook in the slow cooker on the low regime for about 8 hours until the beans are soft. If needed, add more water while cooking. Add salt to your taste. Serve warm and enjoy!
