Make your own chewy energy/granola bars with a not-too-sweet chocolate flavor with hints of coconut and almond.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups rolled oats: 1 piece
  • puffed brown rice cereal: 1 cup
  • raw almonds: 0.5 cup (chopped)
  • coconut: 0.33333 cup (shredded)
  • unsweetened cocoa powder: 3 Tbsp
  • kosher salt: 1 tsp
  • tiny pinch cayenne pepper:
  • packed brown sugar: 0.33333 cup
  • maple syrup: 0.5 cup
  • vegetable oil: 2 Tbsp
  • water: 1 Tbsp

  3. Combine brown sugar, maple syrup, vegetable oil, and water in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Stir, and let the mixture boil for 1 minute. ALLRECIPES / ANA CADENA
