This creamy fruit salad is a satisfying summer dessert, but it's also a family-favorite treat at Thanksgiving. My mother-in-law brought this dish to every family function.
Ingredients
- cream cheese: 1 pack (8 ounce pack, softened)
- white sugar: 0.25 cup (to taste)
- frozen whipped topping: 1 container (12 ounce container, thawed)
- pineapple: 1 can (15.25 ounce can, drained, crushed)
- fruit cocktail: 1 can (15.25 ounce can, drained)
- bananas: 3 piece (sliced)
- Jonagold apple: 1 piece (chopped)
- sweetened flaked coconut: 0.5 cup
- pecans: 0.5 cup (chopped, optional)
- golden raisins: 0.5 cup (optional)
- maraschino cherries, drained and: 1 jar (halved, 4 ounce jar, optional)
