My daughter and I came up with this granola recipe and it is absolutely wonderful. Several of my children, who typically don't care for granola, loved it. I've tried many granola recipes and this tops them all. Store in an airtight container.
Ingredients
- rolled oats: 8 cups
- ½ cups wheat germ: 1 piece
- ½ cups oat bran: 1 piece
- sunflower seeds: 1 cup
- almonds: 1 cup (finely chopped)
- pecans: 1 cup (finely chopped)
- walnuts: 1 cup (finely chopped)
- vegetable oil: 1 cup
- honey: 0.75 cup
- brown sugar: 0.5 cup
- maple syrup: 0.25 cup
- ground cinnamon: 1 Tbsp
- vanilla extract: 1 Tbsp
- ½ teaspoons salt: 1 piece
- raisins: 2 cups

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

Combine oats, wheat germ, oat bran, sunflower seeds, almonds, pecans, and walnuts in a large bowl.

Stir oil, honey, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt together in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then pour over dry ingredients and stir to coat. Transfer to the prepared baking sheets and spread out evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven until crispy and toasted, about 20 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Let cool for 15 to 20 minutes, then stir in raisins. Alberta Rose
