The idea of Waldorf salad was unappealing to me for years. So I experimented with ingredients a bit and finally found a recipe that's incredibly delicious! This is my own spin on the traditional Waldorf salad. The ingredients crisp, filling, and bursting with juicy flavor. Perfect for hot summer days when you don't feel like firing up the stove.

Ingredients

  • Granny Smith apple: 1 piece (cubed)
  • Golden Delicious apple: 1 piece (cubed)
  • Gala apple: 1 piece (cubed)
  • Bosc pear: 1 piece (cubed)
  • ribs celery: 3 piece (chopped)
  • sweetened dried cranberries: 0.75 cup
  • walnuts: 0.5 cup (chopped)
  • pecans: 0.25 cup (chopped)
  • sour cream: 1 cup
  • mayonnaise: 0.75 cup
  • granulated cane sugar: 1 Tbsp
  • lemon juice: 2 tsp (fresh, optional)

  1. Combine Granny Smith apple, Golden Delicious apple, Gala apple, Bosc pear, celery, cranberries, walnuts, and pecans in a large bowl.

  2. Whisk sour cream, mayonnaise, sugar, and lemon juice together in a separate bowl for the dressing.
