- loaf French bread, sliced 1-inch thick: 1 piece
- eggs: 8 piece
- half-and-half: 2 cups
- whole milk: 1 cup
- white sugar: 2 Tbsp
- ground cinnamon: 0.5 tsp
- ground nutmeg: 0.25 tsp
- dash salt: 1 piece

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Place bread slices in the prepared baking dish, overlapping slices as needed.
