Stages of cooking
-
Prior to starting cooking the dessert, pre-heat the oven to 176 C (350 F). While the oven is heating, take a large pan, butter the bread, cut it into small pieces and put into the pan.
-
You can also cut the bread into pieces, put it into the pan, melt butter and pour it above the bread. It is up to you to decide what option to go for.
-
Take a mixing bowl and combine milk, cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg and vanilla there. Blend the ingredients well.
-
Add the eggs into the bowl and mix once again.
-
If you wish to add raisins, spread them well above the bread. Then sprinkle half of the brown sugar you have.
-
Carefully pour the mixture of eggs and milk over the bread until it covers it well. Bread should not stick out of the liquid mixture. Having done that, spread the rest of brown sugar above the bread.
-
Place the bread into the oven for about 40 minutes until it gets brown.
-
Cool the bread pudding a bit, top with whipped vanilla cream and serve! Bon appétit!
