This sloppy joe recipe is quick and inexpensive. In addition to putting it on rolls, try this slightly sweet beef mixture over rice, biscuits, or baked potatoes.

- ground beef: 0.5 pound
- onion: 0.5 piece (chopped)
- ketchup: 0.5 cup
- water: 2 Tbsp
- brown sugar: 1 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce: 1 tsp
- prepared mustard: 1 tsp
- white vinegar: 1 tsp
- chili powder: 1 tsp
- garlic powder: 0.25 tsp
- onion powder: 0.25 tsp
- salt: 0.25 tsp
- hamburger buns: 2 piece (split)

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and stir in ground beef and onion. Cook and stir until beef is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink, about 10 minutes. Drain and discard any excess grease. Stir in ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, vinegar, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
