This watermelon basil salad is best served chilled. The chili powder plays well with the sweetness of the melon.

  • basil leaves: 0.25 cup
  • 1/2-inch cubes watermelon: 4 cups
  • lemon juice: 2 tsp
  • kosher salt: 0.25 tsp (to taste)
  • chili powder: 0.25 tsp

  1. Stack basil leaves on top of each other and roll tightly into a log. Slice lengthwise into thin ribbons.
