This tuna salad is a traditional American appetizer, which is usually eaten for lunch. The dish is not only tasty, but it is also healthy. This is one of its major benefits. Tuna salad is quite easy to cook, but the taste of the dish is really fantastic!
Ingredients
- tuna fish: 12 oz. (canned, in water)
- dill: 2 Tbsp (minced)
- bread and butter pickles: 2 Tbsp (minced)
- red onion: 2 Tbsp (minced)
- celery: 1 piece (organic, minced)
- salt: 0.5 tsp
- black pepper: 0.25 tsp
- lemon juice: 2 Tbsp
- parsley: 2 Tbsp (fresh, minced)
- mayonnaise: 0.5 cup (homemade)
- Dijon mustard: 0.25 tsp
- garlic: 1 clove (small, minced)

Take a deep bowl and mince the dill, red onion, parsley, bread and butter pickles, garlic and celery in it. Season with salt, add freshly ground black pepper and lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients together to get a smooth mixture.

Strain the canned tuna well, trying to get rid of all the water.

Now, mash the tuna with your fingers or a fork.

Add the herbs, spices and the vegetable mixture you have just prepared.

Mix everything well once again.

Add the homemade mayonnaise and Dijon mustard then.

Mix the salad and taste it. If needed, add more salt, spices, black pepper, mayonnaise or Dijon mustard. Grill or toast two slices of bread and use the salad as a topping. You can also add salad to make the taste of the appetizer fresh. Bon appétit!
